There are 3470 acres and many miles of trails in this park. You can begin this trail from the Brecksville Stables or from Station Road Bridge Trail Head (CVNP). Starting at the Stables, there are essentially 4 loops that can be ridden. The shortest taking approximately 20 minutes and the longest taking 2 hours at a fast walk. This well maintained trail takes you through high country, across a beautiful meadow, down steep ravines, across a multitude of streams, past several waterfalls and across Chippewa Creek. There are many chances of watering your horse in all areas. There are many areas suitable for cantering. Deer are usually observed. Riding down to the station Road Bridge Trail Head adds another 1/2 hour on the time.

Behind the Stables, you can access the Valley Trail that takes you 10 miles south through the National Park to the Wetmore Bridle Trails in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

From the Station Road Bridge Trail Head, you can ride north along the Ohio Erie Canal to the Frazee House. At this point, the trail heads for the hills and you eventually reach the Bedford Metropark. Add another 2 hours one way.

A short distance form the stables, you can also pick up the Valley Parkway Trail and head toward the western Metroparks eventually ending up in the Rocky River Reservation.
