Two Horses CALENDAR OF SCHEDULED RIDES AND MEETINGS

Cuyahoga County OHC meeting schedule is as follows:

Planning Meetings- held on the 2nd Monday of each month at Wendy's Restaurant (on Rockside Rd at Rt 21) or Brecksville Stables (starting in April) located on Meadows Drive between Valley Parkway and Parkview Drive. See newsletter or calendar for details .
Informational Meetings - held monthly at Brecksville Stables located on Meadows Drive between Valley Parkway and Parkview Drive. See calendar and newsletter for details.
Trail rides are scheduled at various times during the year.. See calendar for details of time and location.

Please note: The calendar is subject to change. Only OHC members are permitted to participate in the group rides. Sign up now to become eligible to participate in the rides. Other OHC Chapter members are welcome to join our rides. You may register for the rides the day before the ride is scheduled by e-mail to

Our rides are at a walk so all riders feel safe and have a chance to make new friends.

We will have 2 groups provided that we have enough riders.
* The first group will consist of gaited horses kept at a walk and any others who might want to keep up. That means that some horses may have to trot to keep up.
* The second group will consist of horses and riders that feel more comfortable at a slower pace.

Bring a snack, a lunch and a soft drink or water.
Rides last between three and four hours.
Arrive in time to sign in, saddle up and ride out at the confirmed time.

March 7, 7:00 p.m. Medina County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman's Council will have their March Meeting at the Brecksville Stables. Hank Keyes (a Medina member) and the Northern Ohio Outlaws and Mounted Shooting Club will host a presentation of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Sounds like lots of fun.

April 28, 11:00 a.m. Begin Our Trail Riding Summer celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the End to End Trail Ride starting at the South Chagrin Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks. Each month, we will ride a different Metropark until we have ridden the entire Emerald Necklace. Meet at the Polo Field. Finish is Joey's Place at Bedford Reservation. Directions

April 30, 6:30 p.m. General Meeting at Brecksville Stables **Speaker is Kymberly Houston-Farley of Leather Maid who will discuss all aspects of leather care. Leather Maid is a leather repair shop and does custom leather manufacturing.  
May 6, 1:00 p.m.   Robert Eversole of Trailmeister.com will be speaking on "Staying Found - Land Navigation" for horse riders. Learn how to use a compass, read topographical and other maps, and understanding triangulation - in other words, how not to get lost. Presentation at Brecksville Stables.
